fringe benefits

Smart-as-a-whip Erica Domesek {writer and creator of the genius DIY blog P.S. -- I Made This} shows us "How to Make a Fringe Scarf from an Old T-Shirt" via this Daily Candy video.

I love this for re-purposing t-shirts into a new accessory (just think - every cat, woman, man, dog and perhaps even doll and teddy bear could use one of these)...

Scissors up!

new scarf line: symmetry

Symmetry scarf available at Need Supply

Symmetry accessories are made in the USA from 100% American-made Woolrich or Japanese wool. Designed by Ted Byrnes and Gena Tuso (both have been obsessed with scarves for years); the line looks fresh and edgy, but remains soft and wearable. It comes as no suprise that Gena, one half of the husband-and-wife duo, was/is a wardrobe stylist.

Several styles - including the Varg - are a really nice choice for a dude.

All the fringed pieces are hand combed and hand knotted. (And the part I'm jealous of? The custom-cast hardware they have specially made in L.A.) More colors (including yellow!) and styles on Symmetry's website.
