How adorable is Janeane Marie on her audition tape for Project Runway? CLICK HERE for the videos...

I am so excited she made it on the show - I don't have cable so I'll have to watch at a bar (could be worse) or a friend's house.

This Fall, Janeane Marie showed at Content 09, collaborated on Mercy Expiriment No. 1, and participated in several trunk shows.

Meanwhile, she's also managed to design and produce her clothing line - somehow doing this all while maintaining sanity.

You may recall, Janeane borrowed some of my jewelry for her showing at Portland Fashion Week, and she's been an awfully busy bee ever since.

Congratulations, Janeane, I'm excited for you!

Mercy: Experiment Number One, will be a feast-your-eyes-on-awesomeness kind of thing. The evening will feature artwork by Nialls Fallon, rough and rustic jewelry from Andy Lifschutz (I adore!), and clothing designs from my pal, Janeane Marie.

Be there this Friday (if you live in Portland, that is) to support our local talent. It all goes down November 20th, 2009 at 537 SE Ash St from 6 p.m. to whenever.

Janeane Marie, the sweet-as-sugar Portland designer who recently graduated from the Art Institute, is showing tonight in the Emerging Designers Competition during Portland Fashion Week.

With a knack for structure and a slight disdain towards jersey, Janeane Marie's eponymous line is absolutely stunning. This young designer is cutting and sewing incredible tailored jackets, exposed-seam dresses, and patterned silk blouses that will knock your socks off.

It just so happens she and I discovered my jewelry and her clothes compliment each other nicely - her models will be wearing my designs during the show and I couldn't be more excited! I hope to post pictures of our creative mash-up later this week. For now, feast your eyes on this gorgeous dress from Janeane Marie...
